As Charleston’s Life Sciences community matures, the need for collecting and disseminating information is increasing. The Charleston Life Sciences website is a grass roots internet portal that is implemented with direct input from the leadership of the growing number of life sciences business operating in Charleston, South Carolina. This portal is based on the same premise as the Charleston Digital Corridor that was launched in 2001.

By serving as a conduit of information to interested parties, regardless of their location, and engaging those who wish to align their interests with Charleston's growing Life Sciences industry, this portal will create the platform for collaboration between private enterprise and the community.

The Charleston Life Science Portal is supported by the City of Charleston and the Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation.
