Founded in November, 2004, Cell and Tissue Systems, Inc., is focused on development of cell and tissue preservation and manufacturing techniques for regenerative medicine. Research is funded by a combination of private funds, NIH grants and commercial contracts relating to diabetes treatments, cardiovascular and orthopedic tissue engineered constructs, and cell therapies. Key academic collaborations include the Medical University of South Carolina, the Georgia Institute of Technology, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Cincinnati.
