Kenneth D. Tew, PhD, D.Sc., is Chairman of Department of Cell and Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Medical University of South Carolina
Kenneth D. Tew, Ph.D, D.Sc., has been awarded the distinction of Fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) for distinguished contributions to the field of cancer drug discovery and development. Dr. Tew was one of only two South Carolina researchers to receive the honor.
Dr. Tew is the Chairman of MUSC’s Department of Cell and Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics and holds the John C. West Center of Economic Excellence Endowed Chair in Cancer Research. Dr. Tew joined MUSC in 2004.

The distinction of Fellow is given to those believed by their peers in the AAAS as advancing applications deemed scientifically or socially distinguished. The AAAS is the world’s largest general scientific society. It includes some 262 affiliated societies and serves 10 million members.
